[smilie=welcome.gif] BYT,

Are you local or in the US? Are you going to build or purchase the model shown?

It looks good for a couple of chookies; I would attach a small gauge mesh to the bottom of the run to keep out vermin and predators that may dig under, also let the chooks out to free range under supervision.

I want to buy as a builder I am not har! I like the mesh on the bottom idea we do have a few critters here. So you only think 2 hens in the coop?

Two standard hens or 3-4 bantams should live in that set up comfortably. If you are adding the mesh on the bottom just make sure you use some sort of litter like non toxic wood shavings on top of the mesh as the chooks can get blisters and cuts on their feet walking on the hard mesh. Secure the mesh to the bottom of the wooden frame with either nails/tacks or a staple gun.

dont know how hot it gets where you are but , i think it needs shade over at least part of the run area because on a hot day they have 2 choices in the enclosed coop area ( which could be pretty hot and stuffy )or out in the full sun , so i would shade maybe at least half the open section .
