The price needs to be comparable to wood coops I think or cheaper to attract the buyers

Depends on how many hens it houses but for say a 4-6 hen around $250-$300 like this one http://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-WINSCOME-BRI ... 231b237360

The Brinsea Winscombe is the only recycled chicken coop you can currently purchase in Australia (imported from the UK). It's currently sold for $485 ($600 with the run) through TK Poultry Supplies (VIC). Although it's advertised as holding 3-6 hens I've been told it's more like 2-3. Due to the influx of cheap wooden coops from China and based on what I currently know I don't think it will be viable to sell the recycled plastic chicken houses at a competitive price in line with these. Although the final product will be of a very high quality, the cost of materials and production in Australia is just to high.

Hi Chukar - see me below reply to AdCoop. Essentially it will difficult to offer such a product for less than the cheap wooden coops currently imported from China. The wooden coops built and made in Australia are still fairly expensive from what I've seen?

Exactly any quality made coop, Royal Rooster is another example you won't find anything for under $500. A decent size coop will set you back between $700 - $900 depending on add on's.

I'm also keen to know peoples preference on chicken runs? When buying a chicken house do they expect it to come with a run? Or do most buy a house then build or buy an enclosure/run?

As I wrote I built a run to extent the coop and its the best way to go that way you build it to how you want it in length and width
