Since Lord Francis is having trouble with the tree braches, Also later on this year I will be having 10 week old Sussex's

For heavy weight chookies how high should perches be and how thick too.

With young chookies how young should they start perching and how high

If you have perches from 30cm then another at 60cm and a third at 90cm then you cover all bases ;)

Yep that's what ours are set at around about ish :-D

Priscilla my fat Plymouth Rock can't even get on the lowest perch so she just sleeps on the floor  , plus she's old so I allow that.

I use to put her up every night but I gave up!!!

When I used to have Bertha Chicka-Dee she would do the same

But she had a bad habit of wanting to sleep where she would get pooped on so I got her to sleep in her nesting box which was a fruit box nice and low.

Thank you Bill and Chicka-Dee

Last few nights I have been visiting the hen house when all the flock are perching to see what perch Lord Francis preferred

It seems the thickest is his fav why
He cannot wrap his toes all the way round it
