I used small bird wire to stop the goannas or I would never have 1 egg |

Ok so here is my set up.. We are still working on the run so we will be putting a wire roof on it and I think we will be going around the entire thing with much finer wire (maybe bird mesh or something with a smaller aperture) Just saw the dinosaur then - creeping through our backyard.... Scary! PopCoop - does the goanna still come by even though it can't get to the eggs? I have tried wires but honestly I haven't had time to stay on hold for hours so I haven't gotten through so far.I will keep trying but I do suspect even if they do relocate it, another one will come by.. I am comforted by the notion that it would keep snake population down!! |

I am having problems posting a pic - this is the message I get The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 600 pixels wide and 500 pixels high. The submitted image is 450 pixels wide and 600 pixels high. |

Thanks for the photo. Can the goanna get under the wire? Or does the goanna climb over the wire? There is fine mesh avian wire you could perhaps reinforce the existing wire with, but keep in mind if they can get under or over the wire. Maybe call someone who knows about goannas for advice
