I have two brilliant rat catching cats.....i cant risk losing them to baits but they do a top job of keeping the vermon down, except they bring them to the back door as pressies [smilie=a_chuckle.gif]

I do have a cat who is a great mouse catcher but Montgomery is a indoor cat.

He is that because of two reasons
the second one is after my late Murphy ( who passed away on my bed in 05 ) used to play to close to the road.
And the other reason is the dog we have now is a well known chicken and cat killer even killed a lamb once the poor ewe was so upset.

the cat who I had from 95 to 05 Murphy was so good at catching rats and mice but in a sporting attuide it was his brother Tigger who cleared next doors shead of rats he was a great hunter.

The dog is not allowed any where near any chickens, cats now

Its hard to break dogs of that attatude towards other animals it can and has killed. As you do its a good idea to keep them away

Sorry PP I think we have gone a bit off topic
Cats are great rat and mousers

Just annoying because of the dog I cannot have Montgomery my cat to do the ratting.
