Hi All - my wife and I are considering doing a course in Poultry as we both have a keen interest with Silkies. We found a few courses from tafe and other providers, however, we wanted to get some feedback about a course offered by a company called Courses Direct. The course that we have been looking at is located here: http://www.coursesdirect.com.au/poultry-courses. The last forum deleted our post saying that we were spamming. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated or suggested alternatives would also be most welcome... Regards Peter Sharples |

Peter, I have learnt all I need a to know and more about poultry keeping from this forum, also the local library where I have borrowed a lot of poultry books, they are more than happy to bring them in for you from other libraries A few community centres and or stockfeeds and or even large chain pet stores also advertise chook keeping courses. I have even seen them held at farmer's markets. Just keep an eye out in the local newspapers or notice boards or even the internet for the advertisements. Also join your local poultry club and meet other like minded chookie friends. with the Silkies! |

Some clubs do free days on poultry care ect.... for newbies, have a look at the APF Club List viewforum.php?f=72 to find your nearest club and yes APF is the best resource for poultry available in the world today and its also free. |
