Yes apparently chickens will gorge themselves on foods until they become toxic to them & then they go off that food completely and will never eat it again.
So if you give them food in moderation you will always ensure they will always enjoy the foods you give them on a regular basis.
Otherwise you my find they will start turning their noses up at the scraps you gve them, but have no idea why they have all of a sudden gone off it.
I only just learned about this before Christmas
