I use the feathers for the zebra finches we have they love using them for breeding |

Last year my Australorp pulled all her feathers out from her lower chest and across her abdomen, when she went broody. I heard that it was to get a closer, warmer touch with the eggs then chicks. We borke her broodiness in a couple of days, using the sin bin, but the feathers took 2-3 weeks to grow back again. |

Crickey you should see my place I have a sea of feathers from 89 birds all molting at the same time |
