Hi all, Thank you for all your very nice comments. We are going to update the duck run and put it up on sleepers to stop the floor becoming a quagmire whenever we get heaps of rain. It makes the coup stink and very nasty for the ducks. When that is done we will fill with coarse river sand like in the chook coup. It stays nice and clean and I just rake the poop out daily. Next I will paint the walls and improve on the nursery so that I have a removable one that just hooks up and when not in use just stores outside out of the way. That will take us a couple of months I suppose as we are now on a pension. By the time we are finished it will look really good all round. More photos for my album then. I will be looking out for a tent that is not wanted by the owner so that I can make the weather awnings for the winter. I have got an industrial sewing machine so I don't need to pay some one to do it for me. Cheers to all. |

I guess that I am lucky that I have a handy OH. When in SA he was a builder. I don't have the need for anyone except a sparky and plumber. Al does all our concreting, brick, block, tiling, paving etc. Even knows how to put doors and windows in. He used to build brick houses and industrial buildings. So I am lucky. We could build it for you if you lived close by. hehe. |
