I just sent the sad news message to the 5 year RIR Breeder.
Let's see what they say back. [chicken-crow

Well that is a cheap $25 dozen lesson to learn, thanks to Podgie. [smilie=a_cookiemonster.gif]

The seller of those RIR fertile eggs,
did not respond to my sick hen message,
and instead dumped their Gumtree Ad.

This morning I dumped those infected eggs,
and on looking at those RIR living conditions,
they certainly are not well looked after.
Must check living conditions from now on: [smilie=a_chuckle.gif]

Am so glad I take the time to save pictures, edit them to 600W x 500H pixels for here,
otherwise we would never get help from the knowledgeable members on APF. th_clap.gif

On another note,
here is Henny and Tweety enjoying the views: [chicken-crow

Well,
it is that 18th day time again,
where the hatching process happens.

Picture below shows 3 rollers missing,
so 17 Leghorn chickie eggs can hatch over the coming days:

Bought a second Incubator,
from the same seller I bought the current one from:

Seeing as I have had no trouble from the one I am using,
there is no hesitation from buying again. [chicken-crow

Great news,
3 Leghorn chickies hatched about 4 hours apart.
No.1 hatched first which was sitting at room temperature for
13 days before being put in incubator, and hatched on the 25th of September, and was in there 23 days
No.2 hatched 4 hours later and was at room temp for 9 days before incubator, hatched on the 26th of September,
and was in there 24 days.
No.14 hatched 8 hours after 1st one, on the 26th of September,
and was put in incubator a day after incubator was turned on,
so was in there only 23 days.
Attached are images of today's work setting up,
the chicken crumble and water feeders:

24 hours later they will go into new home,
just like Tweety did back in January 25th, 2023.
