Well now, I've never been a fan of guinea fowl..until now. We have a few dramas with pythons coming out of the scrub and around the dam and scoffing some pretty expensive birds. Our geese tell us pretty quickly if a snake is around the dam, but the tigers that come out of the sticks are a worry. 'Lost a dog to them last year, - she was trying to defend a pen of chooks.
We have a donkey that was dumped on us that has proved to be a good snake killer, but can't be everywhere.

I will look into the pros and cons of guineas with much fervour over the weekend!
