How do I sex week old Coturnix quails? I can't see many marked differences |

I guess you examine the vent as per other poultry, you just need to know what you are looking for, sorry, can't help on that front. However they are very quick to reach maturity and at a few weeks old you will find the hens opening in the pin bones, the males will be tighter/closer together. At this age if you examine the vent you will find a small bubble above the male vent, gentle pressure will release a white foam, definitely a MALE. Hope this is of some help. |
