Do you let the mother raise cinnamons

Well an up date I have 4 eggs so far from the cinnamons so they are all fostered to miss silky hen and now I will see if the cinnamons will lay many more and sit on the rest

My cinnamon hen is such a great mother last years she raised 9 keets and already this year she has 6 and all are going great. Guineas are such good mothers unlike some of the chooks I have had in the past

Sounds like you have a good set up and a healthy diet like the rest of us here. They are good mums when caged and the keets do well unless someone has them in rubbish dump conditions and a bad diet then they won't survive past a week or 2

Your right if they are fed right and cared for right then they will survive

This is my first full year with the cinnamon colour and I was nervous even though I have bred lots of the others I was not sure I was up to the challenge but I have 5 cinnamon chicks that are 5 weeks old and all are happy and eating well. I only got the 5 eggs from the female but I was so happy that all them hatched so now I know they are not hard to breed I have more confidence

Well I have only 1 cinnamon female so I can say a sweeping statement but she is a good mother so far but the chicks are only 3 weeks so a long way to go

Yes they are easy to breed and good mothers only asswipes with poor diet and even poorer living conditions will say otherwise, they will have, died in shell, staggering keets, keets with poor eye sight, loose keets within the first few weeks ect.. They should take up basket weaving instead

I have a mate that is going to give me a few of the cinnamon and he lets all his females raise their chicks and he has no problems either so as you say only people with a bad diet and dirty housing will have those problems

The Cinnamons and Silvers for that matter are certainly as noisy, energetic, and cheerful as the Lavenders and Pearls no question based on the dozens and dozens I have bred on a good diet and good housing. On a very poor diet and dirty trashy housing conditions then they will be fragile and suffer birth issues like staggers, lethargic, odd body movements, ect... Its all about the proper care and real knowledge of fowls which some newcomers need to learn and not from google breeding :roll:
