Hi all, how is your season going with the guinea Fowl, we currently have 49 Keets inc.. Silver, Lavender, White, Pieds ect.. a real mixed bag and their still laying so may have a lot more to come, which would be great as we are way behind on orders!

Thanks
Peacocks Australia

Hi all, How did your season go???????

We had a 15% increase in season "2005" this increase was in both Fertility & Maturity. All colour varieties showed increases, with good colour stability.

Interested to know how others went?????

Thanks

Hi Tahir, Guineas can breed in the first year but generally fertility is low, and hens will lay in spasmodically. Most hens in the first year only laid 1 or 2 egg that are formed.

Toppoultry: Guinea Fowl breed from September - March subject to seasonal weather. Generally free range Guineas won't lay in a pen, they prefer to use dense bush or man made cover, i.e junk pile, tree pruning piles ect...

Thanks
