Its sort of interesting and relevant for Botswana but I have stored dozens of eggs for 18-25 days and they have all hatched, you have to remember the thick shell is not just there for egg strength but viability of the egg inside, naturally giving long shelf life thinkerg.gif

Quote:
A total of 125 eggs were obtained from the ongoing guinea fowl project and used in this study. Eggs were divided into five batches with each batch comprising 25 eggs.

I think thats way too little to be 100% accurate

Quote:
Eggs stored for a shorter time had higher hatchability (88%) while those stored for longer time had lower hatchability (4%).

4% that is the lowest I have ever heard of [smilie=a_holycrap.gif] I think 80% is not so good can't imagine 4%

The temps are all wrong for Aust so no point worrying.

I wonder though if our mega breeders here on the forum have ever looked at the Embryology of the Guinea fowl thinkerg.gif

Have a look at this http://www.cobb-vantress.com/contactus/ ... pChart.pdf I didn't bother posting all that day1 day2 day3 crap we don't need post fillers here. Anyway just came up with this and though it could be interesting to study? I do have good ideas see

You idea is far more interesting NightMare a_bravo.gif I would suspect its similar but with early and late hatches there must be some differences. PA would be the only one in australia to answer that, anyone else would just be making it up
