Hi guys I just picked up 7 cinnamon chick keets and I would like to know how long they need to stay caged up before I can let them free range the lawn |

you have to keep them in the coop until they are at least 3/4 grown or they will get taken by a predator so about 5-6 months. Can I ask how much you paid for them? |

They are 4 weeks old or were now 5 weeks. I was reading on a chicken web site that a girl there had lost many cinnamon keets and I think silver she or another girl said too is that normal? are they weaker than the lavender? |

No its not normal. You will hear of very bad breeders that loose "a few" and they make up lies like the cinnamon is weak or not as strong or bad eyes so it can't see blah blah... but the reality is 3 things 1) very bad diet 2) very poor living conditions (usually old rusty cages with tarps over them ect...) 3) no knowledge of keets and guinea fowl I will PM you links to 1 example of the worst we have seen for a long time |
