Hi all my quail has like a small gash on her head and the back feathers of her neck are gone missing and I think it is bleeding? She was my most active and fun quail and now she is really slow and weak she closes her eyes really slowely and her response is slow aswell when I hit the cage she does nothing she use to do a little hop and run around. I think when the male tried to make love to her she ran away and everytime some feathers came off or he bit her. I don't know what else could hurt that quail in the cage all the others look fine.

If I put her in another cage for a while away from the others do you think she would get better and heal?

This sounds like the injuries a male would do when trying to mate with her,
Like you said, put her in another cage for a while just until she heals up.

was it just her and the other boy in the one cage ?

and are they king quails ?

They are Japanese She lives with one king quail female and another female Female and a Male Japanese. I saw him trying to get her but she was to fast and ran away I think she lost some feathers because of this and is now bleeding. She is very slow and closes her eyes slowly do you still think she will be ok?

Hopefully,
Just keep her separated, and make sure she is drinking and eating, maybe someone on here can suggest something to put on the wound.

OK woke up this morning and she looks alot worse although she acts alot better. She is eating now and just sits there. I moved her into another cage with the king quail female to keep her company. While the Male is in the other cage with the other female. The other females feathers seem brown but she's alright. So now the hurt quail is happily eating away.

I also notice that she stands on one leg now because the other one has blood on it I think she hurt her leg aswell. Although she can still use her other leg to walk but when standing still she lefts it up and puts it in her feather. When I first saw this I was like what you lost a leg and tried to find it in the cage lol!! I was like how did you lose a leg your in your own cage.
