I have a pair of Cinnamons that I am going to breed with this season and was wondering what the result of putting a couple of lavender pied hens in with them would be.

If you have a pair then just breed them together thats how you breed 100% cinnamons forget the lavenders.

That's all good but I'm new to this and don't really understand the genetic side of things. I was just wondering what percentage of what colours I would get.

Thanks for that after reading all the posts I get that cinnamon to cinnamon will be the best way to go. I just thought there might be a way to increase my cinnamon numbers a bit quicker. Toby.

If you use a female lavender with a male cinnamon you will get split males, cinnamon females. If you have cinnamon already then you don't need splits and best not to use them as you will introduce the lavender gene to your cinnamons which is not a good idea if you want good colour

(i+) is NOT present in Cinnamon or Silver (red eye) Silver is not + but cinnamon is ;)

Cinnamon x lavender = (C) (i+/c+s) --- (H) (c+s) What most overlook especially these know it all newcomers with 5 minutes experience is phenotype V genotype and which is which with cinnamon and silver thats the important factor and they don't know because it won't come up in a google search ;)

Thanks for that Roundyard. Does it make any difference if you breed with pearl or pied instead of lavender?

Yes use pearls because they are wild type as PA explains and all guineas are based on that gene so you cannot pollute the cinnamon with pearl unlike with lavender genes if you use pearl or pearl pied.
