Actually turned out to be a male, a few days after this photo was taken his other wattle turned, then he started molesting the chickens and attacking the new chickens. I had to rehome him as he was really brutal towards the pullets ripping out feathers on the back of their heads and making a bloody mess of them. His hens he did not attack but I think he did breed them as some of their eggs had the telltale signs of being fertile and we don't have a rooster. |
