Hi Turkey Man,
Did you go to the Habitat just on the left as you turn into the Port Douglas Road from the Cook Hyway--- they have a great selection of birds including the Brush Turkey. Also in Kuranda there are a couple of bird parks,mainly parrots but they do have Mandarin ducks etc.

Yes i think i did go there, i went to a few attractions including Hartly's Crocodile farm. I don't think i saw any brush turkeys at the Habitat but did see the parrots and other water fowl was pretty amazing :-D

Hi Snowball, We are looking at late Feb subject to work? we are going to Port Douglas, staying at "Mirage" for a couple of days, then meeting up with friends and hopfully a couple of Aviary visits including the Brush Turkey Man??? we will be going back to see Habitat, we have been there a few times but never get sick of it.

P.s Your right Snowball, they do have Brush Turkeys at Habitat (very nice to!!)

I have had many types of turkeys in the past and i am off the scene for a little while till i update my facilities. i can get a lot of turkeys but mainly the heavy meat breed. the main colours are white but i do get black in as well.

They are great photos, like the close up of the male. What colour do they call him or is he just called Black?
