Post subject:  New Chicken With Worms
Hi All,

We have brought home a beautiful Australorp hen who has worms icon_gaah! I wormed her the first day she came home, and will follow up with another dose this week.

A silly question, are they contagious? Will my existing hen get them? I only routine wormed her in December.

Yes they are contagious per say and yes your existing hen may get them so worm her also and again in 4 weeks

I'll try to do a follow up dose for the new one and my existing one. I'm realising how much easier it is to do these kinds of things on the chicken who I've had since a baby chick, who's more than happy to be handled…. the other one won't let me pick her up since I brought her home a week ago.
