I couldn't find it again anyway :lol:

There's just so much on this forum it's good to have it updated regularly with the same info a few times ova, and newbies don't get search status until a lot later so it helps when the information is recent.

Yeah, it's informative but it's really only relevant for commercial breeds really.

Id love one of those done for each breed.

Now that would be worth it's weight in gold. :-D

Feather sexing is a commercial system for commercial hens but can be applied to SOME fancy fowl breeds

Some of my recent chicks had characteristics like this. from day 2-10 the females had very prominent primary feathers. By day 10 I also noticed some other differences, the shoulder and tail feathers began to really show, where as the males even though larger in size did not show these feathering characteristics at all.

Their behaviour was also a give away....
