When Do Australorps Come Into Lay?

Hi,

I was just wondering when do Australorps come into lay?

Gertie who is about 20 weeks old has been squatting for two weeks now, we put in the old recycled drawer nesting box and a couple of plastic dummy eggs, which she and Misty play soccer with :roll:

It could be about 24 or 26 weeks that's what I have guessed for Sussex's if its the same for both breeds

Lady Frances is still making those mournful clucking noises very early each morning, all the girls free range together, though Lady Frances prefers to be on her own in the same places she was with Lola and if the others come to those areas she will give Gertie a peck and chase them away. She even knocked Gertie off a tree log that she and Lola used to perch on.
