That depends on the breed so some its 8 months and others its 10-11 months old but still always a pullet

So only girls?

What about Roosters? They always look older?

Would love to show my Rooster to learn about the process & more about what makes a good rooster, but not sure if there is an age limit.

I don't show cockerels or roosters they are too easy, I prefer the skill of pullet showing, but each to his own

I try to set eggs in late winter if they have finished molting

I have 4 silkies on eggs now and may have even more by next week not sure if this is late or not but they want to brood

I just had 19 lemon cuckoo pekins hatch and another hen with 12 eggs so could be a record breaker for lemon cuckoo pekins in oz I hope
