Hi all,
I had a chook lay an oblong shaped egg. It was only an average size, so I cracked it to have with tea.
I was amazed to find a triple yolker.
I put the shell next to another medium sized egg and took a photo.
I didn't think anyone would believe me if I didn't snap it.
Going to put the pic on here today.
Anyone else ever have a triple yolker?
I get the occasional double like all you folk out there, but 3?

Well no matter how hard I try, I can't do it from Picasa. In photogallery, it has file name etc, but where it says from where it is only from internal forum here, not from outside of APF.

I shall try again

Thanks LooLoo,
Now what do you think of my triple yolker?
The yolks were quite small but good.
My OH ate them. He was as surprised as I was.
Has anyone ever had one? Is it rare.
I have had a few doubles and even double duck eggs.

Its very rare and most likely in Buff Orpington hens over 2 years old, they are the most recorded to lay trpple and even quadruple yolkers

congt334 all the yolkes look good colour and texture
