Hi all, is there any way to attract foxes as I want to feed them and hopefully breed many more around my area. I am happy to buy meat every day and feed several dozen if possible. Any advice will be great, thanks Phil

Hello Phil,

I am no expert on fox at all even though I love to sneak around and take stuff but I know they are around. The only thing you can try is fresh dead chooks all around the yard every day and hopefully that will bring them. Try though god awful light sussex they are worthless

Foxes are no problem in Australia there is a shortage of foxes per 5 aces all across Australia. Most foxes are fairly old and have long life's because people feed them they backyard poultry, especially live chooks and ducks and if we all do our bit to help them they will breed 5-10 quicker and we will have them on every street corner which is great for the poms out there that brought them to Australia in the first, lets make an abundance of live food so they can obtain easily.

At the moment foxes are gearing up to breed and in a few months we should see some young foxes out of the thousands of dens with full experience at taking chooks and ducks so let make sure we have the supply ready

Some good ideas there maybe you could chops 2 or 3 chooks per day last thing before dark to keep them super fresh

Would you freshly kill them to attract them or let them hunt?
