 Post subject: Show Quality White Langshans

Im thinking of purchasing some fertile eggs, produced by these langshans in the pics below.
I would like your opinions on the birds. The cockerel got 2nd out of 5 at Maitland and so did a pullet from this pen.
Also a question, if i was to breed white langshans to black langshans what colour would the offspring be?

To me they are good but lack a little in type that is in stance and tail particularly the cockerel but he may improve as he matures.

As for pairing.
Black lang crossed to white lang = black lang split to white so they are phenotypically black (they look black) , but they are genetically (split white) If you then cross a black/white (split) to white you will get 50% black/white (split ) and 50% white. If you cross 2 black/white (split) together you get = 50% Black/white (split) 25% black and 25% white equally. Black is dominant and white is recessive

The cockerel is ok but the hens need work on tail carriage and overall body shape and stance and yes the cockerels tail is average at best but with a little work could be a nice line

Thats a good price for 1 dozen eggs you do have some work to do as mention with type but they are a good start
