Thank you Sue AND Lee - very helpful advice :-D

I only have ducks I'll be showing so I'll have to work out how to apply the advice to them. I don't have to worry about roosters and re-establishing pecking orders etc. That would certainly add a whole other factor to worry about!

Roova,
A past friend of mine bred and showed Pekins, Campbells and Cayuga's, hope my spelling is ok. :?:

He use to place the "ducks" on his lawn, plenty of grass limited soil access, with tub of water in which to swim and splash the day before the show. I have heard of people using those kids "plastic shells" for sand . I use one for my dog to lay in. The ducks spend most odf the day in it and tend to be very clean after the day. I guess the old saying like a duck to water :!:.

Unfortunately I have limited experience with ducks.

Rhode Red

So do you car train the fowls to help prevent car sickness? I have to do this with my show cats but not sure if fowls are affected in the same way?

Yes most defiantly and do it weeks before the show because its more than just car sickness its them panicking and damaging themselves along the way to the show
