Waterfowl need to be washed two to three days before the show, as has been already said wool wash is by far the best to get waterfowl clean, and for white birds I still use rinse water with blueo in it. We keep them on wire floors prior to show it helps keep them cleaner, any spot cleaning necessary if they soil themselves in the box can be done with any alcohol style of wipe. It gets them clean and does not leave them wet after cleaning them up.

Do you leave the blueo on or just a quick rinse?

You put it in the rinse water never on the bird otherwise you end up with a lovely blue bird instead of a white one.

I was told on the weekend a drop of tea tree oil in the water is good for their feathers
