Why is there some sort of secret about what new breeds are included it not a difficult question to answer?

People are prepared to sponsor but also want to know what new breeds, if any are included. Unfortunately no responses are forthcoming from the committee, so the Victorian Poultry Fanciers that are putting the Standard together will miss out.

Hey Dave, I tried reading your post several times but I still don't get what you are saying. Can you say it another way.

Why is it that people are so keen to knock anything for that happens for the good of the Fancy.

We existed for over a century using the Britich and the American Standards then some very wonderfull people got together the resources to start an Australian Standards. The cost is increadible due to the fact of a very limited print run. Such a publication can not be completed without exaustive consultation between all states. The consultation process has to be extremely careful and structured because the very same people who are complaining about the time frame will be the first to come screeming if there is a perceived problem.

I am sorry but the sun is still going to rise in the morning and set in the evening regardless of when the standard comes out and there will be people quite happy to knock the standard no matter what the convieners do.
Why not get behind the project help with the workload instead of knocking those who do the work

Oh I forgot that is utopia i was thinking about sorry for dreaming.

I just found an old email submission on my yahoo. I was very slow to put one in being sceptical at first that one person could make any difference. The submission date. 26/07/07.

I have heard that there has been 6 new hardfeather breed submissions made to the Standards committee, from what Im guessing it must be for American Game, Shamo, Thai Game, Phoenix, Yokohama and maybe Asil, there just my guesses though.

I would love to see all three in there because I have not seen photos of any fowls in Australia apart from American Game that meet the standards. I hope if they do include the that the judges have the guts to disqualify most of the so calleds out there.

I recently saw photos of Phoenix for sale elsewhere that had reasonable tails for other breeds but nowhere near long enough for phoenix. The person was asking big money
