I don't feed mine whole grain , especially leading up to the show ;) Can give the illusion of a split chest , I only feed them Kewpie Pullet grower leading up to a show , as well as a few other little treats ;) to keep them freindly, and keep their crop full (without bulging). Have picked up a few good tricks off the old fellas at the shows that helps ... ;)

Would vitamins in their water help with overall feather appearance and health? I ask this because Anthony uses vitamins 1 week before shows are swears by it.

I am not certain about this subject. I do know that this could potentially go on for ever as we all have therories. I love the Kewpie Breeder and Grower Rations but during show season I swear by grains either cracked for bantams or whole for large.

I like to use a little molassis to bind my grains or mash together

I also feed as much greens as I can get.

Mine are used to it they get it from not long after they start to scratch. If they aren't used to it I guess it would be like getting Dhelli belly when we go to India.

I get about 4 boxes of Lettuce leaves each week fromlocal supermarket. You should see what they do to a pawpaw or a watermelon
