most shows will have a pullet section, the age for that could be from 4 - 6 months i believe

when showing fowls firstly find your breed class and colour if so specified and then there is normaly four sections you can enter your bird in cock class is a male over 1 year of age hen class is a female over 1 year of age cockerl class male under 1 year of age and pullet class female under 1 year of age I hope this helps best of luck showing.

thanks Lovin the Honey Dun = many dont know the age criteria

I have to add tho - if a bird of 11 months moults and regrows feathers before a show - it then goes into the adult section for its sex as it is obvious to long time judges that it has moulted and they would not consider it for a placing if it was in a juvenile section

Each breed has their own standard. Which breed will you be showing?

Wizz you'll need to post a photo of the bird you don't know the breed of so we can see if its a crossbred or not.

Regarding the Light sussex and Langshans fingers crossed someone can send you a copy of their standard. It might be worth your while to post a picture of your birds here so people can see if they are show or backyard quality?
