Hi Everyone,
Well I had a client that wanted some 'organic' photos and I'd mentioned I have 2 hens and so she asked if she could have some photos of the chickens for her website.

These are just a few of the chicken photos from the shoot. hehe it was funny trying to keep them still. They were running around on my backdrop pooping everywhere of course. And I think the flashes wiped their memories - like in Men in Black.

pppppeck!

Mmmm... backdrop... peck peck.

hehehe this photo makes me laugh. It's such a funny pose.

Strutting her stuff.

Anyway, they're rather boring, but I thought this audience would appreciate the absurdity of trying to photograph chickens. [smilie=a_rolling.gif]

I have enough trouble photographing them at all, let alone catching them and getting them to stay in front of a backdrop.

I congratulate you on your success. Very well done.

they are great pics youve taken. What sort of camera do you own. and are you a professional photographer.
And how did you get the chook shit of your canvas back drop ( considering its white)

The are real professional shots, would love to hear how you got them to stand still long enough

Thanks for the kind words everyone. :-)

Keeping them still wasn't too difficult - they were raised up on a table in my studio. They've never been in there before so were a bit wary to jump down off the table. And I gave them some vines to eat while I photographed them, then just photoshopped them and the bits of poo out.

Apart from cloning out the food, I haven't even edited these ones - so I should edit them up and get some nice white backgrounds in there. :-)

hehehe good idea on the postcards... then that would make my chickens a tax deduction?! hehe. :-) I love it.

As for the camera, I was using a Canon 40D with 24 - 70 f/2.8L lens and with 2 elinchrom flashes set up as well.
I wouldn't do it too regularly because the chickens didn't really like the flashes wiping their brains. :-)
