Ella entered her first show Today
She Entered 1 Black Pekin Cockbird , which got a 3rd place , and a Black pullet who got put up to the Hens Division , and Got 1st place , as well as Champion Softfeather Bantam , She entered to have fun and we certainly had plenty of that , But she got a trophy , a ribbon , and two cards , not to mention the $4 Prizemoney
The show was great and we met some really lovely people , as well as catching up with some freinds , they had a good turnout for a littlle country town .
Ella also had a crack at the junior judging , anyone can enter and the challenge is to try to consistently match the judge in selecting the order From Best to worst , in the RIR Bantam division , The Prizemoney was $200 They had to have a playoff in the end and no doubt the Young Fellow that won was very happy with himself,
As I didn't enter anything I couldn't walk away empty handed ,So I bought myself a Beatiful " Coranation Sussex " Cockerel He took out a third in the entire Sussex Division , and in My opinion Was the pick of them , So of course he came Home with us

Their were heaps of other beautiful birds at the show, as well , Their were some beautiful Cuckoo Pekins ,and some mottle'd pekin hens that stole the show by taking out 1st ,2nd , and 3rd in the softfeather pullets , they were spectacular , as well as Heaps of pigeons , Frizzles, Silkies , Belgians, anconas .. actually Their was a pretty good assortment of Softfeather & Hardfeather all round , Their was a steady Flow of People checking out the birds all day , Like I have allready said Next year is the 100th Annual Nanango Show and They are having a Pekin Feature , So we hope to see you all their , Ian and Family
