I don't see that happening any time soon which is a shame because virtually every other pet hobby has one so why not poultry?

99% of new comers start off showing bought fowls, its normal and gives them like it did me the motivation to breed your own and win

Unless the provision is written into the clubs constitution excluding the exhibition of purchased birds for the purpose of one show or multiple then this cannot be enforced on multiple grounds. Indeed even asking an exhibitor if they bred a particular bird may in fact breech a constitution in part, notwithstanding the privacy act is also relevant.

I think it means they can't ask unless they have it in their constitution or the show is owner bred otherwise they need to mind their bees wax :-D

This very topic came up at my club [I won't mention] and some were behaving badly over a purchased fowl that won the show but the fowl in question was purchased as a 4 week old chick so in my mine the exhibitor raised the fowl so it his bird full stop and to me it makes no difference anyway as once you sell a fowl it’s no longer yours and you have no claim to it or if it wins a show.
