We live out of town so do not have town water. There is a water scheme that has a licence and allocation from NSW State Water to pump water from the river to the 'blocks' that are on the Water Scheme for domestic use only (not for crops, swimming pools, stock water etc). We pay 'rates' to the scheme quarterly instead of to Council so we have access to river water to suplement our rain water storage. We mainly use it for the gardens, toilets etc. There are about 40 blocks (25 acres each) on the Scheme. The scheme has to pay a charge to NSW State Water for what we use, electricity for pumps, any repairs, maintenenance etc. There is a volunteer committee that runs the scheme and we all have to follow the rules of the constitution of the scheme.

That is a really basic over view anyway :-D

We as a family are about to join a club as the kids are very involved with the poultry and we keep and care for them as a family on our semi sustainable farm so we feel more in tune with mother nature and are better for it

Some need to come up with a fully interactive online club for those of us in the outback that have no club within 500km I know we cannot show our fowl but we could still talk and share info ect...

If your not going to show or go to meetings then no waste of money joining. You have already joined the biggest club with more info that all the clubs combined already APF so why bother with anything else?
