I have a small group of OEG bantams that I thought maybe show quality but have noticed most have bowed legs and not straight as I believe they should be now is this a fault or a disqualification if I decide to show them?

in my chosen breeds these are both a fault and a disqualification

If i was judging i would disqualify them. Especially since they are a game fowl. Any chance of posting a photo so we can see.

Such a fault would generally result in a disqualification.

As stated post some photos. Noting worse than having a line of birds with a bad fault.

Tooley, the good thing is that you have spotted the fault before you get them to the show bench, and think I didn't see that at home. The show can be a hard place to learn about the faults of your birds , it has happened to us all at some stage.

I would agree they should be disqualified but I have seen first hand a sebright roo go up for first in class and he had obvious bowed legs now the others did not so it depends on the judge and how good the bird is overall it would seem.

I will take more notice at the next show I go to and see if anyone benches any breed with bowed legs as I have only ever looked at OEG. I will see if I can get some picts on the mobile
Thanks for the thoughts
