I used to have light sussex but found them to stupid and bad mothers so got rid of them and got silkies best decision I made

Very few who start with light sussex keep the very long they are a commercial fowl I feel and lessor value to the Isa and hyline

Your right Bill everyone I know that got light sussex at first only had them 1 years or so then moved on to other cross breeds or stepped up to pure breed fowls and that need some skill to keep and breed

I thought light Sussex's were a pure breed

If they are not what colours are pure breed in the Sussex breed

Lights are but its the quality thats the problem especially in the wide bay area in Qld

We are luck here as we have many quality breeders in NZ
