Royal Palm Turkeys

The Royal Palm is best known as an ornamental bird with a unique appearance, largely white with bands of metallic black. Primarily kept as an exhibition bird, or on small farms, it lacks the size for large scale commercial use

The toms are noted for being non-aggressive, and the hens are particularly good mothers

This is a common turkey breed in Australia but popularity has dropped in recent years.

I will add that the Blue Royal Palm is no more difficult to breed than the white infact I had 19 more blue than white hatch in 2012 and expect that number to double in 2013

The self blue lavender is nice but I prefer the white. I make sure the blue lavender do not mix with the white so I know who is split

Funny as I refer the blue I think the white is too common these days and the blue is to a degree but not as the white. I think the buff if the way to go looks great with the contrasting black markings
