The only way to trigger breeding is an increase of greens its the natural way they know. Give them seeding grass and silverbeet and they will breed well.

I have lots of seeded grass up and growing and yes I will buy silverbeet tomorrow.
I had read on a foreign web site an asian lady I think suggested feeding wet mash but I thought that was stupid advice do you agree its stupid.

Yes that is stupid advice never feed wet food to quails EVER it can and will sour and could kill them very bad idea and yes very stupid advice

Do you chop up the silverbeet into fine pieces or let them peck the whole leaf?

Yes you have to chop it up to little pieces so they can eat it or they waste way to much as I found
