Yes many here have them and breed them very well

Have a look through this section as there are hundreds of topics on them with all the info you could ever need. Look for topic with Jumbo Japs, Jumbo Coturnix, Colossal or Broiler Quails they are all the same quail just different names and very very common

The jumbo is bred just for eating so not the best as pets I find they are very stupid more so than normal quails and not good with kids

Thank you both I had found that they are the same just recently the most common name is jumbo or mammoth jap quails. I found a bloke in Beachmere that breeds about 900 a year and is the supplier to everyone in Qld for the mammoth jumbo's. He has 11 colours what do you think are the best colours to buy?

Jill K in GC hinterlands has the largest mammoth jumbo quails in australia, she has taken 5 years to breed them to that exclusive size and weight. I can PM you her details if you want to contact her

Same price or just a little more with some sellers I have heard of some 600 gram mammoth going for $20 but usually the 400/500 grams go for $8 - $12
