Quail 1 = Male for sure
Quail 2 = Male but harder to tell with that mutation but still think its male see if its beak darkens more in the next 2 - 3 week and the face gets darker

It still could be but the face is a little too dark and the beak is darkening for a hen to me but those light colours like silver are harder. Have you tried the vent sexing before? I just posted the how to do it in your other thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=22197&start=10 give that a try its 100% then

so tried the vent sexing and nothing, maybe they are too young yet, as I did try it on the working male I have and it did work so will wait another couple of weeks and try again. Thanks Brads
