 Post subject: Sexing Jap quails by colour

At what age can I sex the jap quials by thier colour, they all look the same from birth to full size so I am finding it hard to sex them

From 3 weeks the cock birds have cinnamon coloured feathers on the breast but its not 100%

I found that way to be pretty good too but some females are well coloured so its hard sometimes to know for certain

Can they be vent sexed like other birds like canarys and society finches and alike. That would be much quicker and 100% sure then

I think I read you can surgically sex them but not sure how you do that Lore maybe you can ask a vet?

This is possibly a silly question but how do you sex white japanese quails? I hope not until one lays an eggs or not
