Do you really eat the eggs? you would have to have a lot to make a meal? how many eggs do you use for a scramble?

I have not eaten the eggs a scramble.
I have had them hard boiled and 'pickled', they are boiled, peeled and placed in a jar and pickle mixture poured over, keep in the fridge for a week to mature and have had them on a "nibbles platter with cheese, crackers, cold meats, etc.
Very tasty and always prove a real novalty.
The eggs turn a bit brown with dark vinegar , wondering if they could not be more appealing if white vinegar were used.
The lady who offered them to me usus a 'spice mix ' she buys at the supermarket, just a specific prepacked pickle mix of spices in the spice rack of any supermarket like Coles or Woolworths.

you should try them, they pretty much taste like a chook egg, they are so cute boiled and put in a salad or really cute fried and give em to the kids....

they have different health benefits compared to a chook egg, google it..

they are also environmentally cheap to produce, quail don't eat much and don't consume alot of water...

no crack them into a frypan with a little margarine..this can be a delicate procedure, though they do look very cute..!
