Hi Cam
I have meat birds but cant supply eggs atm as there are 3 ahead of you wanting some
Potentially could supply some later or potentially birds around late Autumn once they are big enough to travel
This is some of our breeders
the 'brown' tom was eaten recently - he has not been bred from

Thanks for you reply Sue, I would be keen to be added to the list. So if you could let me know when you have some eggs available for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the pic aswell, they look great!
Cheers, Cam.

Still interested if anyone else has some aswell though......

Where are you Moorie?

I'm in SEQ and hope to have good quality eggs from meat-strain turkeys by about June (thats witht he aid of daylight extension). Like Sooz however there are a couple of people ahead of you on the list.

The alternate plan is to purchase day-old poults from Rainbow valley in Vic. They have the commercial meat strain with a very high weight gain and excellent carcase. However, not suited to backyard conditions as they become very overweight as adults, hens can be crippled in the feet and gobblers unable to mate naturally.

The meat strain that Sooz has I believe and the ones I have are very meaty but not as extreme and hence are fitter than the commercial ones.

Thanks for the reply Andrew, I'm located in Brissy. Thanks for the info and I would appreciate being placed on your list for eggs later in the year. Even if a get some off sooz it could be a good opportunity to get some different blood lines in regardless.
Thanks again, Cam.

No worries, although half my genetics comes from Sooz, so they are not that different!
