Hey guys just a quick question

Is it ok to have 2 males and 2 female turkeys in a coop that is 10 meters long and 5 meters wide with 11 large black hens already in the coop

Thanks in advance
Charles

Sounds a bit crowded to me, especially having 2 gobblers with 2 hens, as well as all those chickens. A number of other factors need to be considered though e.g. climate, shade, feed, "retreat" areas, age of the birds etc.

I agree to many fowls in that size ;)

What if I reduced the hens to 8 would that work?

If at all possible, I'd separate the chickens from the turkeys, and possibly keep only one turkey gobbler so there's no arguing. Both groups deserve a 10 x 5m space each. That helps with hygiene as well as comfort.

Pick the best turkey gobbler and rehome the other, you really only need one for breeding purposes. Reduce your hens if you can too for comforts sake, turkeys really are bullies so unless your hens have nesting boxes they can't access don't expect too many eggs.
