This has probably been asked a heap of times before but can anyone tell me the best breed of turkey with a big breast? I have standard bronze and we usually have to have two for christmas as they dont have much of a breast on them. Also, do you know who sells them in NSW? I was told the royal palms are good but in 3 years I haven't been able to get any for a reasonable price in NSW.
Thanks,
Darren

The best for eating are the commercial white broad breasted turkey. Commercial turkeys are bred specifically to have more meat in the breast and thighs

Thanks for that. I do know that the whites are best but I thought they couldn't breed naturally?

Yes they can

many still can breed

I'm keen to get some fertile eggs from 'meat' turkeys if anyone has any to spare in spring.
