hi everyone, new to this with a keen interest in the colossals and mammoths, given the date of the last post, I thought it would be interesting to see where everyone is up to with their weights and if there are any issues with the onwards and upwards progression in size of these birds, cheers Pete. |

SCQ on cracking the 1kg, out of interest, two questions, (1)what size would the eggs be out of a 1kg hen? It's a question that's been asked previously, but, from the older posts that I've read, hasn't been answered, not that I could find, by anyone growing these larger quail. (2) I'm in the market to start my own l personal quail covey (1male and 3or4 hens), and because I don't yet have PM access as yet, if you have any for sale, feel free to contact me on 0429727245. My daughter is going to the Sunny coast on the weekend for a couple of weeks, and I thought it would be good opportunity if there was anything available. If not, I'll go back to my original plan and wait for the cooler weather in the new year and source a few dozen eggs as we don't have the livestock transport out this, unless, of course, it has 4 legs and a tail. |
