Hi
I'm new to the Quail breeding scene bred poultry for a long time but decided to switch to quail for eggs and eating.

At present i have 40 birds on the ground from 2 different breeders to get a mix of genetics and size. Ive been feeding them game bird starter and just switched the first batch to show bird breeder (10 weeks old) and got my first egg today :-).

Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated also

What I'm aiming to do is keep my breeders in the the laying cages for around 4 months then spelling them in an outdoor run (weather permitting ) for a month or 2 then returning them back to lay. The main reason for doing this is i wont need all those eggs and birds. what are your faults on doing this. will post pics of my setup ones i resize them

Thanks and great to be a member of the site

Ian
