My hen cockatiel Georgie, builds elaborate nests carefully by stripping the bark of her natural perches in one of her feeding boxes every Spring. Come close to November she dismantles them. She lives alone in her big modified cage and is very friendly, Georgie is disabled and has extra toes and often falls off her perch. She was rescued.

Everyday Georgie and her friend Bill the budgie(who is not very social and very crusty another rescued bird) come out to fly and socialise. He likes to go into her cage and eat her food and pecks her. He guards the enterance of his cage and doesn't let her in.

Today, Georgie met Mr. Rooster at the backdoor and started to chat to him, the only word that she has learn to say is "Bill", she sat by the window saying "Bill, Bill, Bill" to Mr. Rooster. Does she associate any male bird as "Bill"?

Thank you, kindly, Rose, 52.gif

This is Squeak, he is a wild King Parrot, but he is very tame and eats sunflower seed from your hand.

I also have a budgie named Bill.

My kids call them Christmas birds because they are red and green.
